I would like to see a discussion that is ongoing about the decisions Barack makes as his term(s) progresses (progress). The first issue he's facing is should he step in to fix the financial crisis NOW or should he wait? Of course, the balance of options is enormous. On the one hand, I would personally NOT want for Bush to be able to take credit for the good ideas of Barack if it happens before Barack is sworn in. On the other hand, people are genuinely hurting. Then, going back to the other side, it is true there can only be one president at a time, and Barack would be overstepping his authority. Then, going back again to the other hand, there is suffering in America. Yikes! I would NOT want to be Barack Obama. With his good heart, he's bound to be suffering himself in this decision.

The smaller governments and businesses also need to be careful with their finances.

The appointment of the replacement for Barack as a senator....I think that the (governor)? of Illinois will be tried and convicted of everything he's been doing that is dirty rotten, and then some newsmen will try to link Obama to him because of how all the Illinois politicians are connected together. My relative who is extremely Republican must be jumping with joy and already has probably made up his mind on the dark side. On a bright note, it is rumored that Obama's chief of staff is the one who turned in the governor and it is also being reported that that governor called Barack a "Mother F--er" for not offering more than a verbal appreciation if he would choose Barack's choice for a replacement. The gov'r said that the replacement goes to the highest bidder! He even listed what he would like as payment.

We are respectful that Barack Obama has said there is only one president at a time, but also we are praying he will be more vocally powerful once he is sworn in. It will be good, neh?

I hope he starts taking positions instead of trying to please everyone and instead pleasing no one. I mean come on, what is that bigoted preacher doing giving an invocation?

Now that Israel is fighting back against the constant bombing and suicide bombers (even though there was supposed to be "peace"), people are calling for Obama to speak out AGAINST Israel. I hope he WILL NOT. How does one have a war with a country who DELIBERATELY disguises their soldiers as civilians, and houses them all together? Of course, civilians will be hurt or killed. The alternative is to do nothing and allow your own self to be killed. The Israelies are tired of being the victim. I'm torn between wanting peace and knowing that there can be no peace as long as Hamas rules, instead of the democratic government which has a "puppet" president. I don't know how I'll feel in the future, but I will be EXTREMELY disappointed if Obama vilifies Israel for defending itself.

WHAT IS WORSE is he is going to inherit the Israeli vs Hamas war, and will be in a position of needing to solve HUNDREDS of years of animosities on both sides. In addition, Hamas PR is playing up how unjustified the bombing is to hit civilians, while THEY were bombing civilians ON PURPOSE to destroy Israel, and they have placed themselves AMONG civilians like cowards.
